Hippo Ballerina Comes to NYC

Certainly, there is always something to do in New York City, and right now there might be even more than usual to see. Here, you’ll find 12 amazing outdoor art installations that are worth seeing in the New York area. Here is one that is certainly worth seeing – because, after all, who doesn’t love a hippo?

Starting on February 7th, the Hippo Ballerina appeared in Dante Park across from the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. This is a 15 foot-tall cast bronze created by the Danish-born artist Bjorn Okholm Skaarup. It was created in partnership with the New York City Parks’ Art in the Parks Program and Cavalier Gallery.

Now, those on Instagram who mark their photos with the hashtag #Dancewithhippoballerina will be in the running for two tickets to a ballet at Lincoln Center. You can enjoy Hippo Ballerina from February 7th until July 31st, 2017.
